I’ve really been into adding a little sparkle into the mix for these cold-weather seasons. Since most of my fall/winter wardrobe is just dark colors and knits, it’s nice to add a pop of color to brighten things up a little, especially since it’s dreary and cold outside. A few months ago, I had a totally impulsive moment and bought a pair of glittered oxfords. Honestly, I don’t have anything else in my closet quite like them, which is kind of why I wanted them in the first place. The first night I wore them out, I received a ton of compliments, while other people just stared at them. They have since been dubbed either my “party shoes” or my “Friday shoes.” Since then, I’ve been seeing glittered accessories everywhere, from Kate Spade iPad sleeves to Madewell pumps and loafers. While it’s something not-so-new for the craftier people out there, what do you think about glitter accessories?
